Directed by Robert Zemeckis, is a animated adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic novella. The story follows Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly and cold-hearted old man who despises Christmas and all things joyful.

On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him that he will be haunted by three spirits that night. Marley, bound in chains, tells Scrooge that he must change his ways or face a grim fate.

The first spirit, the Ghost of Christmas Past, takes Scrooge on a journey through his own history, showing him scenes from his childhood and early adulthood that reveal how he became the man he is today. Scrooge sees moments of joy, love, and lost opportunities, particularly his lost love, Belle.

Next, the Ghost of Christmas Present appears, showing Scrooge the joy and warmth of the current Christmas celebrations, particularly the humble yet joyful Cratchit family, who struggle but cherish each other. Scrooge feels pity for Tiny Tim, the Cratchitโ€™s ailing son, who embodies the spirit of hope and generosity.

Finally, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come presents a dark vision of the future. Scrooge witnesses his own death, met with indifference and disdain from those around him. He sees Tiny Tim’s fate, which is grim if Scrooge doesnโ€™t change.
This experience profoundly affects Scrooge.
