Valhalla Rising (2009) is a brutal, atmospheric historical drama directed by Nicolas Winding Refn. Set in the early 11th century, the film follows a mysterious, mute warrior named One-Eye (played by Mads Mikkelsen) who is held captive by Norse chieftains.
