Set in the unforgiving Arctic seas of the 1850s, The North Water follows Patrick Sumner (Jack O’Connell), a disgraced ex-army surgeon who signs onto a whaling ship to escape his past. But aboard the Volunteer, he meets the brutal harpooner Henry Drax (Colin Farrell) — a man of primal violence and terrifying instinct.

As the crew sails deeper into the icy unknown, murder, betrayal, and madness grip the ship.   With each frostbitten mile, Sumner is forced to confront not only the monsters around him — but the one growing within.

The Arctic becomes a frozen hellscape where survival is not a matter of strength, but of moral decay. The North Water is a raw, suspense-filled descent into darkness, where every breath is a battle and every man is prey.
